Welcome to West Shore Community Library
The West Shore Community Library has served the residents of Somers, Lakeside, Rollins and Dayton for over 13 years. In that time a dedicated group of Volunteers and an all-volunteer Board of Directors have grown the Library from its original 1996 one-room facility into today's 2,400 square foot facility that provides a wide range of services to thousands of patrons.

LCC funding for Audio Books and Children's books
WSCL was generously awarded a grant from the LAKESIDE COMMUNITY CLUB. This grant provided the funds to purchase a large selection of books for our Young Readers, as well as more than 40 new Audio Books.
We now have a wide variety of new books for our young listeners, junior readers, and young adults. As a result of these many great new books, and audio books, we have noticed a significant circulation increase over previous year's levels!
Events &
Programs
Throughout the year the Library offers the community a number of special events and programs. There are guest speakers, the annual summer book sale, children's programs, as well as social events honoring donors and supporters of the Library like the annual Chapters Wine Tasting and Art Auction.
