Special Thanks...

Children's BooksThe WSCL was awarded a BOOKS FOR CHILDREN grant in 2009 by the Libri Foundation. Qualification for this grant was made possible by the support of the Lakeside Community Club. The Library was able to choose approximately $1,050 worth of children's books from a 700-title book list.  It was also able to choose an additional $350 of math and science books.  Bringing the total to about $1,400 worth of children's books.

The Libri Foundation is a nationwide non-profit organization which donates new, quality, hardcover books to small, rural public libraries in the United States through its BOOKS FOR CHILDREN program.

Children's Books LCC funding for Audio Books and Children's books

WSCL was generously awarded a grant from the LAKESIDE COMMUNITY CLUB. This grant provided the funds to purchase a large selection of books for our Young Readers, as well as more than 40 new Audio Books.

We now have a wide variety of new books for our young listeners, junior readers, and young adults. As a result of these many great new books, and audio books, we have noticed a significant circulation increase over previous year's levels!

Donating Your Time as a Volunteer

Becoming a Volunteer is very important to the Library. It’s what keeps the organization running on a day-to-day basis. Here’s how you can become a Volunteer. Call the Library at 844-3917 and the Volunteer on duty will take you name and telephone number and have the Volunteer Coordinator contact you. You may also email info@wsclibrary.org and the Volunteer Coordinator will get back to you. Or, when you visit the Library pick up and fill out the Volunteer Application Form and leave it at the front desk and you will be contacted.
