Library Services

Your financial support allows the Library to continue to provide these services:

  • Books
    In addition to the hundreds of donated books that are incorporated into our collection, the Library has an ongoing new books purchasing program.
  • Audio Books
    The Library maintains a large selection of CD and tape audio books.
  • Montana Collection
    The Library provides an extensive collection of fiction and nonfiction books and videos about Montana.
  • Movies
    Through the generosity of our patrons, the Library provides a large selection of VCR and DVD movies for adults and children.
  • Magazines
    The Library offers a magazine exchange and gladly accepts donated magazines.
  • Children’s Reading Room
    The Library provides books for all ages of children.
  • Large Print Books
  • Computers
    The Library has five computers for public use.
  • Computer Printer
    Copies generated from computers are available for 10 cents a copy.
  • Wireless Internet Network
    The Library offers wireless Internet network free to patrons and the public. Visitors and patrons may use their own laptop computers in designated areas only.
  • Copy Machine
    Copies are available at 10 cents per copy. The Library asks that users limit the number of copies to 50 at any one time. 
  • Meeting Facilities
    The Library provides access to the facility for community meetings free of charge. The facility is also available for business meetings for a nominal fee, depending on the use. To schedule meeting facilities contact Rosellla at 844-2099. 
  • Community Bulletin Board
    The Library provides an area for residents to post community notices and other information.
  • Tourist and Travel Information Center
    In conjunction with the Lakeside-Somers Chamber of Commerce the Library maintains information about travel, accommodations, events and tourist attractions in Northwest Montana.
  • Artist’s Display Area
    Artists who have donated their work in support of the Library’s fund raising efforts are invited to use the Library facilities to display and sell their art and crafts. Information about this service is available by call Alex or Margene Berry at 844-3522.
  • Local Author’s Feature Area
    The Library promotes local authors by featuring them in a special section of the Book Store. Featured books are for sale in the Library.
