Library Use Policy

WSCL is not responsible for loss or damage to property of individuals or groups using the library.

Animals

Only licensed service animals are allowed in the building.

Internet Access Policy

While WSCL does not monitor information accessed from the internet,viewing of pornographic material prohibited and will be strictly enforced by volunteers on duty. Any patron observed viewing such material will be asked to leave the facility and will lose their library privileges.   Patrons may find some information offensive.  Restriction of a child's access to the internet, as with any other library material, is the sole responsibility of the minor's parent or guardian. 

The following are prohibited in the Library 

  • Offensive behavior. 
  • No Firearms.
  • No Cell phone use.  Please be considerate of other patrons and put your cell phone in the vibration mode.
  • No smoking.
  • No food or beverages.
  • No alcohol or drugs. Possession of, or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
  • ​No soliciting.  The soliciting of Library patrons or volunteers, or the use of patron information for soliciting private enterprise is prohibited.
  • No wheels (with the exception of strollers and wheelchairs)​​

Behavior that becomes disruptive will cause dismissal from WSCL and may result in Flathead County Sheriff notification.

Responsibilities of Library Patrons

Patrons are responsible for library materials checked out and for returning them on time and in good condition.
Parents or guardians of minors are responsible for their child's selection of reading materials and for their behavior in the library.
Unauthorized removal of library property or damage to library property may result in loss of privileges and possible prosecution.
