Tell Us a Story Competition
The West Shore Community Library is joining READ ACROSS AMERICA'S mission honoring the art of STORYTELLING. Starting March 3rd (Read Across America Day) and ending April 4th (The first day of National Library Week) we will be accepting submissions of your short story!
ALL ages are encouraged to participate! 500 words or less - but MUST contain any (or all) of the following words LIBRARY, BOOK, and READ! Submissions may be fiction or non-fiction.
Submissions should be sent to the library by EMAIL at firstname.lastname@example.org. However, for those that might wish to hand write - we will accept drop-off submissions at the library front desk.
The winner will receive a $50 gift certificate from AMAZON. All submissions will be shared at a later date in the library and on our Facebook page.
NOTE: The judging panel will not see your name or age in order to choose their favorite, but please be sure your submission INCLUDES your name, age (if you choose) and contact phone number.
PLEASE join us in this fun community endeavor to showcase local STORYTELLERS!
